HOT SALE, HOTTER HERO!
Compromising Positions is on sale for 99¢ this week only! Which means... a ton of social media promo for yours truly. I'm a big fan of online conversations, not so much about buy my book. So, to keep myself entertained we made up some super fun promo graphics.
It's a funny book, so the graphics match. Kind of. I'm still wondering if we went too far with the Kama Sutra images. But hey, it's a Kama Sutra couples yoga class. Totally legit to illustrate that, right?
Finding the vectors to put on the graphics was hilarious. Do we use ones with two colors? Stick figures or life-like. And... OMG these are actual people! We could not go there, because Facebook jail. Not to mention my readers are all about using their imaginations.
Be honest peeps. Did I take it too far?
Those of you who've already met David & Sophie, it totally fits, right?
Which one is your favorite?

"Compromising Positions would have to be one of the best contemporary romance novels I have read in a long time. Jenna Bayley-Burke delivers it all, romance, humor, and great chemistry between her hero and heroine. It is so well written. The pace is great, and the story line fantastic." - Fallen Angel Reviews
"The sexual tension between Sophie and David will leave you biting your nails in frustration and wanting to yell at them to get on with it already, but once the two finally get together the sparks between the two fly off the pages. With sensual love scenes, flirty repartee, and a man and woman clearly meant to be together, you get everything you could ever want in a romance novel. Overall, I have to say that Compromising Positions is a must read !" - Long and Short Reviews

Caribbean Caress *first look*
The deeply tanned, blond Adonis who walked through the back door did not fit any of her preconceived notions of her father’s new friend. For one, his bare, muscled chest had her body perking up in ways it shouldn’t, and this retiree had to be closer to thirty than the sixty she’d expected. After all, everyone else who worked here was her dad’s age.
His ice-blue gaze pored over her body in a rush of heat. His eyes made her think of sex on the beach and silken sheets and all the passionate things she wanted to do but hadn’t dared try. Okay, so Joe Jr. was sex on legs. Every vacation could use a little eye candy. She offered her hand. “Hi. I’m Saskia Vanderbrogen.”
He glanced at her hand and smiled, a perfect white grin. “We’ve met. Though you might have been too young to remember.”
She rubbed her damp palm on her shorts. “When was that?”
“Most summers since you were in diapers. I think the last time was when you were about twelve, had your hair in braids then too.” His eyes seemed to laugh at some kind of private joke.
“Can’t say you made the same kind of impression on me, since it’s not ringing any bells.” She touched one braid, suddenly self-conscious of the youthful style.
“And to think you said you’d love me forever. I will never again trust the word of an eight-year-old.” He placed a large hand over his gorgeous chest in mock hurt. “Johannes Prinsen, Sebastian’s son.”
Things started to click into place She recalled her father’s best friend often bringing his sons with him on visits. They were teenagers, more interested in the surf or sailing than a dreamy, awkward girl. Still, Johannes had been the nicest of the three, once rescuing her when she’d fallen off her surfboard and it had clunked her on the head.
Her heart stalled in her chest, feeling like it might explode as it remembered to beat. He was the first man she’d ever seen naked. Not that he knew that. He’d been showering and she’d been curious...

Caribbean Caress - A bit more
Here's another excerpt of Caribbean Caress, the 1st title in my Under the Caribbean Sun series. I hope you love Joe & Saskia - and Anguilla - as much as I do.
By the time they got their clothes on and made it back to his truck, Joe knew he’d made a critical error. She’d taken off her dress and his brain had shorted out. That never happened. Even as a hormonal adolescent he’d been able to think with the right head.
As he jammed the truck in gear and climbed the gravel road up the hill, he tried to think of anything but that Saskia wore nothing beneath the wisp of a dress currently plastered to her lithe body. His dick was still telling him to race home, and his brain had to agree. He needed to get home and get his ass in a cold shower.
He might have to stay there all damned night to make sure he didn’t do something stupid. Again.
Maybe if this damned island were bigger, he would have figured out his next move by the time he pulled up beside the house.
"Someone is in a hurry." Saskia undid her seatbelt and climbed out of the truck.
He winced, realizing she thought he’d powered home for an entirely different reason. He rubbed the tense muscles in his neck, willing his mind to come up with some kind of escape route. Some way to rewind time so he hadn’t been stupid enough to get in the water.
But thinking brought to mind visions of Saskia naked, the feel of her nipple ring beneath his tongue, the taste of her. Maybe the only way out of this was to chop his own head off.
Either one would do.
He huffed a breath and got out of the truck, peering in the darkness for Saskia. The water had reflected the moonlight, but up here the world had been reduced to dark outlines. He thought of how she’d bounded towards the hammock when she’d first arrived and checked there. Finding it empty, he climbed in himself.
Maybe he could fall asleep out here, dream up some solution and fix everything in the morning.
"You’re kind of freaking out, aren’t you?"
The sound of her voice startled him and his heart hammered even faster. "I’m sorry."
She had a sweet laugh, light and almost musical. "Sorry that the two minutes it took to drive here gave you time to have second thoughts and now your balls ache? Or sorry that in your head I was still a bratty kid and now we’re about to do some amazing things on your bed?"
"Both?" Neither. She was Dutch’s daughter, but it was more than that. She’d somehow had the power to make him stop thinking. He’d done that once before and wound up wrecked.
"It’s very sweet that you want to be noble." Her voice moved closer, yet he still startled when she laid a hand on his chest. She trailed over the contours of his muscles, pausing to roll a nipple between her fingers. Damn if it didn’t seem connected to his cock. "Or do you want me to come on to you? Is that your kink?"
"You are awfully interested in kinks. Every time you ask I wonder what yours is."
"I’m working on it."
He bit back a groan. "Listen, we need to slow this down." To a dead stop. He tried to remember why he’d been so frustrated with her just a few hours ago, but there was too much testosterone flowing through him for logic.
"I don’t beg. So if that’s your thing, you’re going to have to get over yourself." She pinched his nipple, but didn’t release it. Just kept holding until the sharp pain eased, a heavy ache taking its place. "Do you want to take me upstairs?"
"Yes," his traitorous mouth spoke for him. No doubt his greedy tongue wanted more of her. "But I’m not going to. You just got here, and you were drinking tonight…"
"I drank champagne." She released her hold, only to flick his tender peak with her fingernail. He covered the spot with his hand, pressing to hold the feeling in. "But I do have one request."
"You can have any room you want. I’ll stay out here."
"Johannes." Her hot breath puffed against his ear, her hair whispering against his shoulder. "No touching yourself. If you’re hard for me, it’s for me, not for you."
Her words went straight to his cock, filling it and deepening the ache in his balls. He wanted to squeeze himself, but didn’t. It was only fair.

Caribbean Caress Excerpt
The Under the Caribbean Sun series returns with Caribbean Caress. Fingers crossed everyone loves Joe & Saskia - and the isle of Anguilla - as much as I do.
“This place belongs in heaven.”
Della smiled wide, as if life had remained simple, charmed even. “Anguilla is heaven, honey. Why do you think we live here?”
“I’m not even going to argue with you.” She slipped off the bar stool, finding her legs a little looser than she expected as she carried her plate to the giant sinks. She knew Joe followed right behind her, though she didn’t see him until she turned around.
“Then maybe you should move back home.” Della snapped a towel her way. “Your dad would love it. And he could use—”
“Dutch would love for you to visit more often,” Joe’s rich baritone rolled through her like music. He stood so close heat arced between them.
“I think I will.” She looked up at his pale-blue eyes, so light against his tanned face they seemed impossibly bright. And beautiful. Did he want more of her as well?
Della snapped her fingers, breaking the spell. “Where is Doug? We need another bottle of champagne for a toast.”
She wasn’t sure more champagne was a good idea, but it wasn’t as if she had to drive anywhere, or be up early tomorrow. And she felt like celebrating. She’d never felt as at home as she did here, surrounded by people who’d known her forever and wanted nothing more than to be with her.
Joe’s warm hand on the small of her back set off her libido like a string of firecrackers. Having a few days on the island with him watching her every move sounded better all the time.
Joe liked her. She knew it. The giddy rush swept through
her, making her body tingle. When she’d arrived, she was sure he found her as
annoying as ever, but as they laughed and ate and talked in the Beachside
kitchen his focus shifted like sand on the dunes at Rendezvous Bay.
He had as much reason to be wary of her intentions as she
had of his, but everything seemed to dissolve by the second bottle of the
Ramseys’ delicious champagne. Saskia tipped back her glass and let the bubbles
dance down her throat.
“This place belongs in heaven.”

He Doesn't Need to be a Husband, JUST MARRIED
Only a few more days until JUST MARRIED is released into the wild. Or apptastically downloaded. Whichever. Here's a peek at Cal & Mira, when he lets her in on his not-so-little secret.
A
bolt of nausea pealed through her like church bells in a quiet town. “You’re
still planning to get married?”
“Of
course.” He lifted her chin with two fingers. “To you.”
Miranda
gasped, her hazel eyes sparking with emotion. Her gaze narrowed on him and she
shook her head, dislodging his fingers. Her furious expression sobered his
smile. He’d never seen Mira angry, not at him at least.
“Listen,
doll.” He reached for her and she batted his arm away with one hand, and her
other landed squarely on his cheek with a loud slap. The sharp sting was chased
away by heat spreading up his face. He pressed his palm against the pain, his
mind numb from shock.
“No,
you listen you spoiled son of a bitch. I could strangle you right now.” Her
finger jabbed at his chest so hard he looked down to see if it left a mark.
“You don’t get to call me and say you’re getting married in a day, make me show
up and try to talk you out of it, and then say it’s some kind of joke. If you
want to vacation with your friends, you invite them. And don’t talk to me about
marriage. I am not a game you play. I deserve more respect than that.”
She
shoved him aside with more strength than he’d thought possible and pushed her
way out of the shower. She snagged the robe from a hook and wrapped her hair in
a towel at mach speed.
Fear
squeezed his chest. Of all the ways he thought this might go, he’d never
imagined her outraged. He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist as he
chased after her.
“It’s
white.” She stood in front of the closet, clutching the bridesmaid gown. She
tossed it onto the huge bed and pointed at the flowers on the bedside table.
“And those are bouquets. That’s why they are tied and set in the water, not
fanned out.” She smacked her hand against her forehead. “And this is the
honeymoon suite. I thought the hotel had made a mistake, but this is all you.
All some cruel game you dreamed up to bring everyone together.”
“Listen.
I can explain.” He stepped to the foot of the bed, but didn’t get too close to
her. He’d never seen this side of Miranda, and it unnerved him. He’d thought he
knew her so well.
She
tipped her head back and gave the saddest laugh he’d ever heard. “Of course you
can. You’ll have to make your excuses while I get ready, because I am so out of
here.” She brushed past him to the vanity.
“Miranda,
please hear me out.” His stomach knotted as he turned to catch her gaze in the
mirror. He had until she made it from hairbrush to perfume. Less than that
really, because she was sure to drown him out with the blow dryer.
“What
did you expect?” She tugged the brush through her hair and then tossed it onto
the marble counter. She picked up a tube and squeezed a white cream on her
hand and scrubbed it into her flushed face. “Was I supposed to throw my arms
around you and confess my undying love and follow you back to New York
tomorrow? Drop everything the way I did when your father died? I have a life,
Cal.”
“I
don’t expect anything in your life to change. Mine either.”
She
spun around so fast he stood up straighter, sure another slap was on her
agenda. “You want to get married but you don’t want anything to change. Now
you’re not only disrespecting me, you’re disrespecting marriage. A union I
happen to believe in.”
He
held up his hands in surrender. He had to stop digging this hole he’d tossed
himself into. “I’m going to start at the beginning.”

A Little Bit of JUST MARRIED
“You’re getting married.” Miranda Rose choked on the words,
her throat constricting, stomach twisting, and soul shriveling like a lone
grape forgotten on the vine.
“Tomorrow.” Callum Kerr’s voice held more excitement than
she’d heard since their law school graduation, when he’d transitioned from student
to textile mogul. From the stillness in the background, he was most likely closed
in his office just like she was, only his feet were probably on the desk. And
he was smiling. She could tell from the warmth in his voice.
She cleared her throat, refusing to betray any emotion. He
didn’t know she’d
spent nearly a decade in love with him,
and now was obviously not the time to share that unnecessary tidbit. “Do you
want me to review your prenuptial agreement?”
“You’re a probate attorney. Besides, I’m not bothering with
it.”
She sat up straighter, fear for him filling the cracks of
her broken heart. “You can’t do that, Cal. If this woman doesn’t want to sign
one, then she’s only after your money.”
“Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing. So, you’ll come to
Vegas for my wedding?”
“You’re getting married in Las Vegas?” Oh, his mother must
be thrilled. But if Bridie Kerr couldn’t keep her only son from eloping to Vegas,
what hope did his friend with benefits have? Benefits about to be revoked,
permanently.
“Tomorrow at eight. Bring the dress you wore to Dave and Tina’s wedding.”
“You want me to drop everything and fly to Nevada to watch
you marry a complete stranger without a prenuptial agreement while I wear an
old bridesmaid dress? Have you lost your mind?”
“I need my best girl standing beside me. Besides, you said
you’d wear it again. That’s why I had the zipper fixed and sent it back to
you.”
She dropped her forehead to her desk blotter, just how that
zipper had been broken flashing through her mind. For almost ten
years, they’d been enjoying delicious trysts whenever a wedding or christening
put them in the same city. Their liaisons were the only kind of relationship
she had time for if she hoped to make partner next year. And now he’d ripped
them away, and wanted her to watch as he put up a white picket fence to keep
her out.
“Which flowers were your favorite?”
Miranda looked up, seeing the dozen different vases of
blooms perched on every available surface of her office. When she’d picked up the
phone to call him it had been to ask why her usual birthday bouquet had arrived
a day early and morphed into collection of mismatched arrangements. Had it
really only been minutes ago?
Her throat tightened, as if he were choking the hope from
her. “They’re all lovely, thank you.”
“You must have a favorite.”
She did. Him. The way things had been. Drama-free rendezvous and a birthday tradition of exchanging
flowers for pizza since their birthdays were only two days
apart. “The bouquet of multicolored roses you
usually send is my favorite.”
“Really?”
“Truly.” The scents from the melange of
flowers clashed, the air in her office growing thick and sickeningly sweet. “Since
you’ll be in Vegas for your birthday on Saturday, should I send you pizza
there? Or will your bride object to gifts from former lovers?”
He laughed, rich and full. “You can take me out for pizza
since you’ll be there.”
“We’re not going on a date during your honeymoon.” She got
up from her desk, needing to move her limbs to let out the feeling of being
trapped, forever in love with a man who’d never even considered loving her
back.
“It’s going to be a great weekend. I’m flying everyone in
for the wedding, but I’ll make sure we get plenty of time to ourselves.”
He couldn’t have hurt her deeper if he’d punched her in the
stomach.
“Cal, if you do this, if you get married, our relationship
has to change.” She nearly choked on the words. She wished she could threaten
never to see him again if he went through with it, but they shared three
godchildren and dozens of friends. He’d gifted her with a future of having her
feelings scraped raw like knuckles on a cheese grater.
“It’s a change for the better. Do you think Anna is old
enough to be a flower girl?”
“She falls as much as she walks. It might be nice for Rob
and Molly to have some alone time before the new baby comes. I could watch her
so they could have a night to themselves.” Having her favorite baby girl around
would be a welcome distraction.
“You’ll be busy taking care of me, not babysitting. We’ll
make the wedding no kids.”
“You could use some time getting to know your goddaughter.
At some point you may want to introduce her to your new bride. Assuming you
keep the new Mrs. Kerr around after she fleeces you of your inheritance. No
point in showing the kids your mistakes.”
Silence hung in the air and she hoped her words hit home.
“Jealousy
does not become you.”
She didn’t bother denying it. “You’re a fool to rush into
marriage without a prenup so soon after losing your father. Was this gold
digger even interested in you before you went from heir to principal?”
“I have this handled. I just need you there to handle me a
little bit.”
She grit her teeth and shook her head. She cared about him
too much to let her own grief get in the way of his future. “I’ll be there, but
I’m serious: I won’t put my hands on a married man. I’m only going so I can talk
you out of this.”
“My mind is made up, doll. Though I look forward to all the
ways you might persuade me to see things your way.” His low rumble of a laugh
vibrated through her and a shiver of uneasy anticipation straightened her
spine.
She tightened her grip on the phone and cleared her throat.
She couldn’t let him know his little announcement had flattened her hopes like
some kind of emotional drive-by. “You go ahead and dream about how you’d like
me to convince you to stay single. Because if you go through with this Cal, I
swear on all that is holy, those dreams are all you’ll ever have of me.”
