I am enjoying my last few days of slackiness, and got to pondering... I love holiday books. But then, those usually are thought of as Christmas. Well, I did a Christmas (Cooking Up A Storm) and Thanksgiving (Just One Spark). Maybe that is my thing. Maybe I write holiday books. Hmmm. April Fools? New Years? Halloween? 4th of July? Valentines?
So those are my 5 books this year, but then they aren't. I write for a UK publisher, and they don't do Halloween there, poor souls. Doubt they fancy 4th of July either. Well, ain't that just great.
I'm reading Kimora Lee Simmon's Fabulosity, and she does a great bit on building your brand. Which is so not me, I mean, I don't have that kind of energy to put on a persona. But if I did, I think I would be a Hooray for Holidays girl. The book is actually empowering, too bad her hub decided to announce he had a mistress before his wife's book came out. Classy.

3 more days of indulgence
Am I the only one eyeing the new year as an opportunity for change? I want to be more organized in the new year, hopefully more productive and profitable as well. I want BabyBoy potty trained (yes, even I am bored of this topic) and BigBoy reading (though I think he may be holding out on me). I want to start dating HubbaBubba againg because he truly is adorable. And...um...whirrled peas?

Why isn't it snowing?
It should either snow or the sun should shine at the holidays. Either way, we can get outside and play. Rain is not condusive to outside activities, in fact, it is the main cause of cabin fever. Especially in small boys. Enough said.

At Home Vacations
I am LOVING this take a vacation bit. Reading up a storm. Doing fun things with the kids. Actually having complete conversations with HubbaBubba...AND sleeping in my own bed! Really, we should do this more often. Not just the me not working bit, but the day trip parts. We're lucky enough to live in the middle of the ocean and the mountains. Time to start taking advantage of it!

Dreams & Desires
Reviews are starting to come in for the Dreams & Desires charity anthology I participated in. So far, so goo for my story, THE FOREST FOR THE TREES.

My website is down
It appears I am over bandwidth, and while I do not know what that means, the web-help says the site should reset the following day. Which it did not. I tell ya, Bravenet is not making me happy. Not one bit.
My kids seem to be in the same holiday spirit as Bravenet. The big one refuses to nap, the little one refuses to use the potty. My oh-so-fun lethargy issues are back, which makes all of this worse. Bring on January!
My mind is starting to swirl, andticipating writing the next book. Which I have decided to plot, and then write out of sequence. Must keep myself on my toes. But not until Jannuary. I am on vacation!
**update...the website is out until January 1. Got to LOVE Bravenet. NOT!**
