Remember that 1st grade
homework question that stumped me? Darn thing was a trick question. A W has 3 angles and 4 sides. I was SO not amused.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS...18051 / 50000 words. 36% done!
Trish hasn't been posting...I half expect her to pop up tomorrow with a completed draft!

That's just mean.
Oh, M and M also has four sides and three angles.
But still. That was mean.
There is a certain child in my house who would have been in tears over a question like that.
There would have been words with that teacher.
Have been following your progress in the book war with Trish and just wanted to say, you're an inspiration!! So close to having a baby and writing so much..... hanging my head in shame!
That's just wrong. First off, I'm not sure a W is really a "shape". Or, that an open "shape" can contain "sides". She could've made her point better by asking "What figure can you make using four sticks that also has 3 angles", or something similar. I hate trick questions!!
About the W...I don't think his teacher realized. We had her look it up (since the boy hands in his homework early so he gets weekends 'off' like Dad ...he he he...). I think she wanted to roll her eyes!
The boy was great when he told Dad "Want to hear something stupid?" was the intro at dinner.
R - Don't be shamed! Girl, you'll be writing when I am knee deep in the mire of the newborn season. Remember that? Oh wait, moms don't get enough sleep to form memories during that time...
